HomeMy WebLinkAbout93-032 CC Resolution RESOLUTION NO. 93-32 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIIL OF THE CITY OF TFAI[ECULA SUPPORTING THE MITIGATED PLAN FOR MURRIETA CREEK FLOOD CONTROL PROJECT VMER]EAS, the Murrieta Creek Flood Control Project, initiated by the Zone 7 Commissioners, prior to the incorporation of the City of Temecula, remains an urgently needed improvement; and VMEREAS, the plan developed over a three-year period by the citizens committee and the Flood Control District staff represents a cost-effective solution for flood control and shall comply with the environmental requirements of the federal and state governments, and that the plan serves the interests of the City of Temecula; and NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNC]IL OF THE CITY OF TEM[ECULA DOES RESOLVE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. It is the desire of the City of Temecula that all of the parties work to reach consensus on the recreational and environmental issues raised during the public input hearings. Section 2. The City Clerk shall notify the commanding officer of the Los Angeles District of the Corps of Engineers that the City of Temecula endorses the present plan for issuance of a 404-Permit for construction and that the commanding officer is requested to expedite the permit process as much as possible within the applicable regulations. Section 3. The City Clerk shall certify the adoption of this resolution.
