HomeMy WebLinkAbout02-110 CC ResolutionRESOLUTION NO. 02-110 A JOINT RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMECULA AND THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE TEMECULA VALLEY UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT EXPRESSING SUPPORT FOR THE CONTINUED VIABILITY AND OPERATION OF THE FRENCH VALLEY AIRPORT WHEREAS, Southwest Riverside County enjoys a reputation as a highly desirable location to live and work, and is one of the fastest growing areas in California, and WHEREAS, the entire Temecula Valley region is served by the French Valley Airport which is recognized as a premier General Aviation airport, and WHEREAS, the continued viability of this Airport is important to this region as a transportation facility as well as a strategic resource in bringing new companies and jobs to this area, and WHEREAS, future development of Southwest Riverside County should be planned in a way that is mindful of, and complementary to French Valley Airport NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Temecula, that the City of Temecula and the Temecula Valley Unified School District hereby express their support for the continued viability and operation of the French Valley Airport, and urge agencies having jurisdiction in this region to take actions that support the operation and continued success of this airport.
