A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF TEMECULA APPROVING THE APPLICATION FOR
GRANT FUNDS FROM THE USED OIL RECYCLING FUND
UNDER THE USED OIL RECYCLING ENHANCEMENT
ACT FOR THE WESTERN RIVERS]IDE COUNCIL OF
GOVERNMENTS REGIONAL USED OIL COLLECTION
PROGRAM
NWEREAS, the people of the State of California have enacted the California Oil
Recycling Enhancement Act that provides funds to cities and counties for establishing and
maintaining local used oil collection programs that encourage recycling or appropriate disposal
of used oil; and
WHEREAS, the California Integrated Waste Management Board has been delegated the
responsibility for the administration of the program within the state, setting up necessary
procedures governing application by cities and counties under the program; and
V,IHEREAS, said procedures established by the California Integrated Waste Management
Board require the applicant to certify by resolution the approval of application before submission
of said application to the state; and
WHEREAS, the applicant will enter into an agreement with the State of California for
development of the project.
NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMECULA DOES
RESOLVE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the City of Temecula approves the filing of the application for the
California Used Oil Recycling Block Grant Program under the California Oil Recycling
Enhancement Act for state grant assistance for the project specified above.
Section 2. That the City of Temecula appoints the Executive Director of Western
Riverside Council of Governments as agent of the City of Temecula to conduct all negotiations,
execute and submit all documents including, but not limited to applications, agreements,
amendments, payment requests and so on, which may be necessary for the completion of the
aforementioned project.

Section 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of the Resolution.
