AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF TEMECULA, CALIFORNIA, ESTABLISHING A
SPECIAL GAS TAX STREET IMPROVEMENT FUND
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMECULA DOES ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS:
Section 1. In accordance with Street and Highways Code Section 2113 and in order to
avail itself of the monies available through Sections 2106 and 2107 thereof, there is hereby created
in the City Treasury a special fund to be known as the "Special Gas Tax Street Improvement
fund".
Section 2. All apportionments of such money shall be deposited into the "Special Gas Tax
Street Improvement Fund."
Section 3. This Ordinance relates to taxes for the usual and current expenses of the City
and will take effect immediately upon its adoption. The City has just been incorporated and has
no funds whatsoever to provide for police powers of the City. This Ordinance is therefore an
Urgency Ordinance for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health and safety.
Section 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Ordinance and cause copies
of this Ordinance to be posted in the three designated posting places.
