A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TEMECULA ADOPTING A PENALTY SCHEDULE IN SUPPORT
OF THE COMMUNITY STANDARDS PRESERVATION
ORDINANCE
Whereas, the City Council of the City of Temecula amended title 1 of the Temecula
Municipal Code by adding a new chapter 1.24 known as the Community Standards Preservation
Ordinance;
Whereas, said Ordinance permits the City to establish a penalty schedule to use as a
guideline in determining the amount of civil penalties to be assessed in each case;
Whereas, the penalty schedule is intended to be substantial enough to induce voluntary
compliance without requiring later judicial involvement;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council: Adopts the penalty
schedule as set forth on Attachment 1 hereto.
PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED, by the City Council of the City of Temecula
this 26th day of October, 2004.
