HomeMy WebLinkAbout96-062 CC Resolution RESOLUTION NO. 96-62 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMECULA OPPOSING AB 3053 WHICH WOULD BAR THE CITY FROM GENERATING NEW DEVELOPMENT REVENUES. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMECULA DOES RESOLVE, DETERMINE, AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS: WHEREAS, AB 3053 limits the ability of local governments to generate new development revenue. WHEREAS, AB 3053 amounts to another unfunded state mandate. WHEREAS, AB 3053 also erodes revenue generation and taxing authority of local governments and will make cities more dependent on the state budget. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that Section 1:The City Council opposes AB 3053. Section 2.The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution.
