A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF TEMECULA SETTING THE COMPENSATION FOR
THE CITY MANAGER AND ESTABLISHING THE
POSITIONS OF ADMINISTRATIVE SECRETARY AND
DEPUTY CITY CLERK
WHEREAS, the City of Temecula was incorporated on December 1, 1989; and
WHEREAS, by Ordinance 89-3 the City created the position of City Manager and by
Resolution 89-2 appointed Frank Aleshire as Interim City Manager;
WHEREAS, Ordinance 89-3 provides that the City Manager's compensation shall be
set by resolution; and
WHEREAS, the need now has arisen to create City employee positions and salary
ranges and authorize the City Manager to fill them;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMECULA
DOES RESOLVE, DETERMINE, AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Frank Aleshim shall be an at-will employee of the City Council with a
compensation of $2,000.00 per week, with no employee benefits except those required by
law.
Section 2. The positions of Interim Administrative Secretary and Interim Deputy
City Clerk are hereby established. Both positions shall be at-will employees serving at the
pleasure of the Interim City Manager, whose compensation shall not exceed $15.00 per hour,
with no employee benefits except those required by law.
Section 3. The Interim City Manager is authorized to fill these positions established
by this Resolution.
Section 4. The City Clerk shall certify the adoption of this Resolution.
