A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF TEMECULA ESTABLISHING THE ORGANIZATION,
OBJECTIVES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF A
TEMECULA PUBLIC SAFETY COMMISSION
The City Council of the City of Temecula does resolve, determine and order as follows:
Section 1. Establishment of Commission. Pursuant to Section 11.01.010 of the
Temecula Municipal Code, there is hereby created an advisory commission which shall be
known as the "Temecula Public Safety Commission."
Section 2. Commission Membership. The Temecula Public Safety Commission shall
consist of five (5) members to be nominated and appointed pursuant to Chapter 2.06.050 of the
Temecula Municipal Code.
Section 3. Staff Assistance. The City Manager shall ensure that adequate staff will be
allocated to provide necessary technical and clerical assistance to the Commission. The Police
Chief shall serve as staff liaison to the Commission.
Section 4. Time and Place of Meetings. The Temecula Public Safety Commission shall
establish a regular date, time and place for Commission meetings, which shall be open to the
public. Said meetings shall occur no less frequently than once a month.
Section 5. Term. The Temecula Public Safety Commission shall continue in effect
pursuant to Chapter 2.05.060 of the Temecula Municipal Code.
Section 6. Duties of Commission. The duties of the Temecula Public Safety
Commission shall be as follows:
Review and make recommendations to the City Council concerning law
enforcement, fire suppression and prevention, and disaster planning for the
City of Temecula.

Section 7. This Resolution shall become effective concurrently with the effective date
of the City Ordinance adding Chapter 11.01 of the City Municipal Code. The City Clerk shall
certify the adoption of this resolution.
