Action Minutes of October 22, 2009 Approved staff recommendation (4 -0 -1) Commissioner Hagel made the motion; it was seconded by Commissioner Hannum; and voice vote reflected approval with Commissioner Ramos abstaining. RECOMMENDATION: 1.1 Approve the Action Minutes of October 22, 2009. COMMISSION BUSINESS 2. Traffic Conditions on Seraphina Road Update Approved staff recommendation (5 -0 -0)— Commissioner Arbogast made the motion; it was seconded by Commissioner Hannum; and voice vote reflected unanimous approval. RECOMMENDATION: 2.1 That the Public/Traffic Safety Commission: 1. Receive a presentation from the Temecula Police Department regarding their efforts on Seraphina Road; 2. Direct Staff to schedule a workshop with the residents of Seraphina Road and affected properties to discuss and develop traffic calming alternatives; and 3. Direct Staff to schedule this item for further consideration at the meeting of January 28, 2010. The following individuals addressed the Commission with regard to this matter: Shane Lesovsky Jesse Morales Terry McCune 3. Parking Restrictions Via Consuelo at Pechanqa Parkway Approved staff recommendation (5 -0 -0) Commissioner Arbogast made the motion; it was seconded by Commissioner Hannum; and voice vote reflected unanimous approval. RECOMMENDATION: 3.1 That the Public/Traffic Safety Commission recommend the implementation of a parking restriction on the north and south side of Via Consuelo from Pechanga Parkway to approximately sixty (60) feet west of Pechanga Parkway. 4. Engineering and Traffic Survey Citywide Approved staff recommendation (5 -0 -0) Commissioner Ramos made the motion; it was seconded by Commissioner Hannum; and voice vote reflected unanimous approval. RECOMMENDATION: 4.1 That the Public/Traffic Safety Commission review and recommend that the City Council adopt an Ordinance establishing the recommended speed limits identified in Exhibit "A The following speaker addressed the Commission: Mary Towell TRAFFIC ENGINEER'S REPORT POLICE CHIEF'S REPORT An oral report was presented. FIRE CHIEF'S REPORT ADJOURNMENT At 7:20 P.M., Commissioner Arbogast moved, seconded by Commissioner Hannum, to adjourn the Public Traffic Safety Commission meeting to Thursday, January 28, 2010, 2009, at 6:00 PM.
