A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TEMECULA DECLARING SPECIFIED VOLUNTEER WORKERS
TO BE EMPLOYEES FOR THE PURPOSES OF WORKER'S
COMPENSATION AND INSURANCE LAW
WHEREAS, Section 3361.5 of the Labor Code of the State of California provides that a
volunteer, unsalaried person may be, upon adoption of a resolution so declaring, be deemed an
employee for the purposes of Worker's Compensation and Insurance Law; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Temecula desires that certain of its volunteers
shall receive Worker's Compensation coverage.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Temecula
as follows:
Section 1. Volunteers who are now, or may be assigned to specified City projects and
whose names are listed on the City's Roster of Volunteers for a given project are hereby declared
to be employees for the purposes of Worker's Compensation and Insurance Law.
Section 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this Resolution.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Temecula
at a regular meeting held on the 8th day of December, 1992.
