A RESOLUTION OF THE crrY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TEMECULA TO ENCOURAGE THE RIVERSIDE COUNTY
BOARD OF SUPERVISORS TO AGGRESSIVELY PURSUE
FUNDING FOR A SUPERIOR COURT FACILITY TO BE
LOCATED IN THE CITY OF TEMECULA
WItEREAS, the Riverside County Superior Court is located in the City of Riverside; and,
WHEREAS, due to a lack of a Superior Court Facility in southwest Riverside County,
there are over 2,190 Superior Court activities conducted each month at the Temecula Municipal
Court facility; and,
WHEREAS, although Superior Court activities can be received and processed at the
Temecula Municipal Court facility, the cases are housed and heard in the Riverside Superior
Court located in the City of Riverside.
NOW, TItEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Temecula City Council hereby
expresses its support and encouragement for the Riverside County Board of Supervisors to
aggressively pursue funding for a Superior Court to be located in the City of Temecula.
PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED, by the City Council of the City of
Temecula this 28th day of October, 1997.
