A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF TEMECULA AUTHORIZING SUBMITTAL OF
APPLICATION FOR THE CALRECYCLE BEVERAGE
CONTAINER RECYCLING CITY/COUNTY PAYMENT
PROGRAM
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMECULA DOES HEREBY RESOLVE
AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Pursuant to Public Resources Code section 48000 et seq. the
Department of Resources Recycling and Recovery (CalRecycle) has established
various payment programs to make payments to qualifying jurisdictions; and
A. In furtherance of this authority CalRecycle is required to establish
procedures governing the administration of the payment programs; and
B. CalRecycle's procedures for administering payment programs require,
among other things, an applicant's governing body to declare by resolution certain
authorizations related to the administration of the payment program.
' Section 2. The City of Temecula is authorized to submit an application to
CalRecycle for any and all payment programs offered; and
A. The City Manager, or his/her designee, is hereby authorized as Signature
Authority to execute all documents necessary to implement and secure payment; and
B. This authorization is effective until rescinded by the Signature Authority or
this Governing Body.
PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of
Temecula this 12`h day of April, 2016.
