HomeMy WebLinkAbout00-017 CC ResolutionRESOLUTION NO. 2000-17 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMECULA SUPPORTING THE CONSTRUCTION AND OPERATION OF AN INDOOR SKATE PARK AT 43300 BUSINESS PARK DRIVE, CENTER COURT, TEMECULA, CALIFORNIA THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMECULA DOES RESOLVE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS: WHEREAS, it is in the public interest and in the interest of the City of Temecula that the youth and young adults of our City have a wholesome, secure, and supervised indoor skate park; and WHEREAS, the City Council has heretofore granted a Conditional Use Permit to the Ollie House to construct and operate an indoor skate park at 43300 Business Park Drive, Center Court, Temecula, California; and WHEREAS, conditions for the granting of the Conditional Use Permit are that Ollie House provides a secure and supervised indoor skate park; and WHEREAS, the plans, drawings, specifications, and actual construction of the indoor skate park by the Ollie House provide for security and supervision of the indoor skate park and the surrounding parking area; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT the City of Temecula affirms, by a unanimous vote, that the construction and operation of the indoor skate park by the Ollie House, at 43300 Business Park Drive, Center Court, Temecula, California, is in the public interest, in the interest of the City of Temecula, and in the interest of all citizens and residents of the City of Temecula, and in particular in the interest of the youth of our City. Any action taken to interfere with, impede, prohibit, or oppose the construction and operation of the subject skate park will be deemed to be against the best interest of the City of Temecula and the public interest, and particularly the youth of the City of Temecula.
