CALL TO ORDER: Chair Person Hagel (6:00 P.M.) FLAG SALUTE: Commissioner Sullivan ROLL CALL: Carter, Mann, Sullivan, Hagel, Absent: Commissioner Richardson PRESENTATIONS: None PUBLIC COMMENTS Gloria Whittington COMMISSION REPORTS CONSENT CALENDAR 1. Action Minutes of February 23 2017—Approved staff recommendation(3-0-1-1)with a motion made by Commissioner Sullivan and seconded by Commissioner Carter. Individual voice vote reflected approval by Commissioner Carter,Sullivan and Hagel; Commissioner Mann abstained; Commissioner Richardson was absent. RECOMMENDATION: 1.1 Approve the Action Minutes of February 23, 2017. COMMISSION BUSINESS 2. Consideration of Multi-Way Stop Signs — Nighthawk Pass at Channel Street and Choate Street — Approved staff recommendation (4-0-1) with a motion made by Commissioner Carter and seconded by Commissioner Sullivan with a request that the landscape at Nighthawk Pass at Choate Stree be reviewed. Individual voice vote reflected approval by Commissioner Carter,Mann,Sullivan and Hagel;Commissioner Richardson was absent. RECOMMENDATION: That the Public/Traffic Safety Commission 2.1 Maintain the present level of control at the intersection of Nighthawk Pass at. Channel Street; and 2.2 Recommend the City Council adopt a Resolution establishing Multi-Way Stop Signs at the intersection of Nighthawk Pass at Choate Street William Heaton and Dina Fallini spoke on this item. ., 3. Amarita Wav and Montele ro Way Traffic Conditions — Approved staff recommendation(4-0-1)with a motion made by Commissioner Sullivan and seconded by Commissioner Mann. Individual voice vote reflected approval by Commissioner Carter, Mann, Sullivan and Hagel; Commissioner Richardson was absent. RECOMMENDATION: That the Public/Traffic Safety Commission; 3.1 Direct Staff to initiate a Pedestrian and Traffic Circulation Study on Amarita Way and Montelegro Way. TRAFFIC ENGINEER'S REPORT POLICE CHIEF'S REPORT FIRE CHIEF'S REPORT ADJOURNMENT—The meeting adjourned at 6:54 PM with a motion made by Commissioner Carter and seconded by Commissioner Sullivan. The next regular meeting of the City of Temecula Public/Traffic Safety Commission will be held on Thursday,April 27,2017,at 6:00 P.M. at Temecula Civic Center,City Council Chambers,41000 Main Street, Temecula, California.
