A R~SOI. UTION OF THE Cl'l'~ COUNCIL OF THE CIT~ OF
TEMECULA DESIGNATING PRIVATE PI~OPERTY AT 28820
AND 28835 SINGLE OAK DRIVE AS A "N.O SKATEBOARDING,
ROLLERBLADING OR SIMILAR ACTIVITY AREA" PURSUANT
TO CHAPTER 10.36 OF THE TEMECULA MUNICIPAL CODE.

WHEREAS, City Ordinance No.' 94-18 establisheld Chapter 10.36 of the Temecula
Municipal Code and adopted by ordinance permits the City Council to prohibit skateboarding,
rollerblading or similar activity in certain designated areas; ~nd,
/
WHEREAS, the efforts of the property owner at 28820 and 28835 Single Oak Drive to
control skateboarding, rotlerblading and similar activities haie been unsuccessful to date; and,
/
WHEREAS, private property at 28820 and 28835 Single Oak Drive has the potential to
ece ve damage n connect on w th skateboarding, ro lerb ad ng and s~m~ ar acbv~t~es; and,
WHEREAS, the property owner of 28820 and 28835 Single Oak Drive has requested the
City to ' '
des gnate the property as a No Skateboarding, Rollerblading or Similar Activity Area
and,
WHEREAS, the property owner has submitted a written application in conformance with
Chapter 10.36 of the Temecula Municipa! Code; and,
WHEREAS, notice of proposed action was posted ,at City Hall, County Library, Rancho
California Branch, the U.S. Post Office, and the Temecula Valley Chamber of Commerce.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMECULA, DOES
RESOLVE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Findings. That the Temecula City Council hereby makes the following
findings:

Section2. The City Council hereby authorizes the establishment of a "No
Skateboarding, Rollerblading, or Similar Activity Area" on Ithe properties located at 28820 and
28835 Single Oak Drive in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 10.36 of the Temecula
Municipal Code. Enforcement of the no skateboarding, rollerblading, or similar activity" shall
not commence until appropriate signage has been postedlas required by Chapter 10.36 of the
Temecula Municipal Code.
Section 3. The City Clerk shall Certify the adoptlon of this Resolution.

Section 4. PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOI~ by the City Council of the City
of Temecula this 25th day of September, 2001.
