HomeMy WebLinkAbout95-046 CC Resolution RESOLUTION NO. 95-46 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMECULA REQUESTING INLAND EMPIRE POSTMARK DESIGNATION WHEREAS, the Inland Empire has, in the past decade and a half, been one of the fastest growing regions in California and the United States. WHEREAS, the Inland Empire is frequently and specifically referred to by television and print media. WHEREAS, this media identification of the Inland Empire has increased in frequency to the point it has become the common designation for the region. WHEREAS, the telephone book designation Inland is currently used by 100 businesses and organizations and Inland Empire by 51 businesses and organizations. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, Section 1. That the City of Temecula respectfully requests the U.S. Postal Service approve a postmark designation change from San Bernardino to Inland Empire for all mail which is generated from the communities in Riverside County that make up the Inland Empire. Section 2. The City Clerk shall certify the adoption of this resolution. APPROVED AND ADOPTED, this 23rd day of May, 1995.
