HomeMy WebLinkAbout95-009 CC ResolutionRESOLUTION NO. 95-09 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMECULA DELEGATING TO Tile CITY MANAGER THE AUTHORITY TO ENTER INTO PUBLIC WORKS CONSTRUCITON AGREEMENTS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF A TEMPORARY FIRE STATION PURSUANT TO SECTION 3.32.050 OF THE TEMECULA MUNICIPAL CODE THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMECULA HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The City Council hereby finds, determines and declares as follows: A. Chapter 3.32 of the Temecula Municipal Code provides for the award of public works construction contracts of less than $75,000 by informal bids; B. Section 3.32.050 of the Temecula Municipal Code provides that the City Council may delegate to the City Manager the authority to enter into contracts bid pursuant to Chapter 3.32; and C. The installation of the temporary fire station east of the 1-15 Freeway is of great importance to the City and requires the expeditious warding of construction contracts in order to achieve installation on or before March 1, 1995. Section 2. Pursuant to the authority established in Section 3.32.050, the City Council hereby delegates to the City Manager the authority to enter into public works construction contracts for the temporary fire station project. Section 3. The City Clerk shall certify the adoption of this Resolution. Resos\ 95-09 I PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Temecula on the 30th day of January, 1995.
