OLD TOWN TEMECULA LOCAL REVIEW BOARD
February 9, 1998 · 9:00A.M.
TEMECULA COMMUNITY CENTER. 28816 PUJOL STREET
Members Present: A. Blair, B. Harker& B. Morris
Staff Present: S. Naaseh
1. Public Discussion (3 minute limit per speaker)
Mr. Dool indicated that he would like to use three vendor areas for his site with
aluminum frames and canvas cover. The Board agreed to approve the proposal fo r
six months for Saturdays, Sundays and holidays when the project is placed on the
agenda at a later date. The Board made the agreement with an understanding that
the applicant will be installing improvements that meet the Old Town Specific Plan
requirements at a later date. In making its recommendation the board found that
the area for the proposed improvements is easily visible from Front Street and the
area was designed for vending areas with landscaping.

3. Old Business
Streetscape Archway, the Board preferred granite base with decorative iron work
to show various Temecula scenes or a simple iron tress system, recommended that
repeating Temecula, CA and Old Town Tem~ecula on the logo is redundant.

Met with the Owner of the Shire and toured the site and recommended that a plan
be prepared for their review which both preserves the historical character of the
building and meets the needs of the property owner.
