LOCAL REVIEW BOARD
Special meeting, September 27, 1995, 9:00 AM, City Mall.
Special ~eeting called by City Planning Staff to consider light standapd for Old
Towr~ use; and to review Penfold application & design for ~8545 Front St.
Meeting called to order 9:10 AM.
Members present:Markham, Gorham, Harker, Morris, Lord.
Staff present:Meyer, Ruiz.
1.There was no public discussion.
2. New Bus,ness
b) Board chose to discuss Penfold project. After reviewing plans, motion
w/unanimous decision to preclude use of plywood, recommend, iocreased
detail articulation on south side of building(facing alley), north side
of building forward of adjacent building setback, and or, porch post
bracket(corbel) and on porch supports.
a)Light standards for Sam Hicks Park
Board unanimously decided not to recommend use of standards suggested Oy
Specific plan. These standards do not seem , to board, to fit either the
era or application sought for Old Town. Board, instead, recommended using
Sternberg Vintage Lighting Catalog Numbers;Pole Boston 5800(14 ft.), Light
Park Ridge 910 and Bracket ~75, for at least, SH Park, Museum and
parking/bus terminal area of Old Town~
