HomeMy WebLinkAbout02-094 CC ResolutionRESOLUTION NO. 02-94 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMECULA DECLARING THE INTENTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL TO ADOPT AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 15.04 OF THE TEMECULA MUNICIPAL CODE TO ADOPT BY REFERENCE THE 2001 EDITION OF THE CALIFORNIA BUILDING CODE, THE 2001 EDITION OF THE CALIFORNIA MECHANICAL CODE, THE 2001 EDITION OF THE UNIFORM PLUMBING CODE, THE 2001 EDITION OF THE CALIFORNIA ELECTRICAL CODE, THE 1999 EDITION OF THE UNIFORM ADMINISTRATIVE CODE, THE 2000 EDITION OF THE INTERNATIONAL CODE FOR THE ABATEMENT OF DANGEROUS BUILDINGS, THE 2001 EDITION OF THE CALIFORNIA HOUSING CODE, AND THE 2000 EDITION OF THE INTERNATIONAL SWIMMING POOL, SPA, AND HOTTUB CODE, ALONG WITH AMENDMENTS TO EACH CODE AND SETTING A PUBLIC HEARING FOR HEARING COMMENTS ON THE PROPOSED CODES FOR OCTOBER 22, 2002 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMECULA HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The City Council of the City of Temecula does hereby announce its intention to consider adoption of an Ordinance entitled: "AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF TH E CITY OF TEMECULA AMENDING CHAPTER 15.04 OF THE TEMECULA MUNICIPAL CODE TO ADOPT BY REFERENCE THE FOLLOWING CODES WITH CERTAIN AMENDMENTS THERETO: THE 2001 EDITION OF THE CALIFORNIA BUILDING CODE; THE 2001 EDITION OF THE CALIFORNIA MECHANICAL CODE; THE 2001 EDITION OFTHE UNIFORM PLUMBING CODE; THE 2001 EDITION OF THE CALIFORNIA ELECTRICAL CODE; THE 1999 EDITION OF THE UNIFORM ADMINISTRATIVE CODE; THE 2000 EDITION OF THE INTERNATIONAL CODE FOR THE ABATEMENT OF DANGEROUS BUILDINGS; THE 2001 EDITION OF THE CALIFORNIA HOUSING CODE; AND THE 2000 EDITION OF THE INTERNATIONAL SWIMMING POOL, SPA, AND HOT TUB CODE" (the Ordinance). On October 8, 2002, the CityCouncil gave first reading to and introduced said Ordinance. The Council will also consider adoption of a Resolution which sets forth the local conditions upon which a determination will be made by the City Council that modifications to Chapter 15.04 adopting the uniform codes are reasonable and necessary to protect the public health, safety, and welfare of the community (the "Resolution"). Section 2. The City Council hereby sets a public hearing for October 22, 2002 at 7:00 p.m., in the Council Chambers of the City of Temecula at 43200 Business Park Drive, Temecula, California, or as soon thereafter as the matter may be heard, to hear the comments of the public on said ordinance and the uniform codes to be adopted thereby and on the adoption of said Ordinance and Resolution. Notice of the Public Hearing shall be published in newspaper of general circulation in the City pursuant to Government Code 6066. Section 3. Copies of the codes proposed to be adopted by reference and described in Section 1 of this Resolution as well as copies of the proposed codes, Ordinance and Resolution described in Section 1 of this Resolution are on file in the Office of the City Clerk and are available during the office hours of the City Clerk for public inspection. Section 4. Council.
