IMPORTANT NOTICE REGARDING THIS MEETING
This meeting was conducted utilizing teleconferencing and electronic means consistent with State of
California Executive Order N-29-20, dated March 17, 2020, regarding the COVID-19 pandemic. The
live stream of the meeting may be viewed online. Details can be found at temeculaca.gov/tv. In
accordance with Executive Order N-29-20, the public may only view the meeting online.
Submission of Public Comments: For those wishing to make public comments on the agenda item at
this Committee meeting, please submit your comments by email to the Assistant Director of
Community Services at erica.russo@temeculaca.gov. All email comments shall be subject to the same
rules as would otherwise govern speaker comments at the Committee meeting. Electronic comments
on agenda items for this Committee meeting may only be submitted via email and comments via text
and social media(Facebook, Twitter, etc.)will not be accepted.
Reading of Public Comments: Email comments will be read into the record, provided that the reading
shall not exceed five (3) minutes, or such other time as the Committee may provide,consistent with the
time limit for speakers at a Committee meeting. The email comments submitted shall become part of
the record of the Committee meeting.

PUBLIC COMMENTS -None
COMMITTEE BUSINESS
1. Discussed Education and technology support/WiFi gardens—report by staff and discussion.
a. District supportive of collaborative efforts for WiFi gardens and volunteer tutors
b. IT will scope out locations including RRSP, MCP, and Rotary Park
c. WiFi signal will be available 7am - 7pm initially
2. Reviewed Friendship Park branding elements- report by staff and discussion.
a. Subcommittee supports benches, imagery, general direction
3. Discuss New signage for park system-report by staff and discussion.
a. Pala Park sign will be replaced with "Friendship Park" signage with more modern feel
b. PW would like to keep cast concrete for ease of maintenance
c. PW will mock up new sign
4. Update on Mini Pump Track status - report by staff and discussion
a. Discussed shade/picnic shelter and skills course options for space adjacent to mini
pump track
b. Currently have several shade structures in inventory
c. Subcommittee recommended utilizing those shade structures for now and revisiting
additional amenities (and associated expenditures) in the future
