A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF TEMECULA ACKNOWLEDGING RECEIPT OF A
REPORT MADE BY THE FIRE MARSHAL OF THE CITY
OF TEMECULA FIRE DEPARTMENT REGARDING THE
SB 1205 STATE MANDATED ANNUAL INSPECTION OF
CERTAIN OCCUPANCIES PURSUANT TO SECTIONS
13145, 13146 AND 17921 OF THE CALIFORNIA HEALTH
AND SAFETY CODE
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMECULA DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS
FOLLOWS:
Section 1.
A. WHEREAS, California Health and Safety Code Section 13146.4 was added in
2018, and became effective on September 27, 2018; and
B. WHEREAS, California Health and Safety Code Sections 13146.2 and 13146.3
requires all fire departments, including the City of Temecula Fire Department, that
provide fire protection services to perform annual inspections in every building
used as a public or private schools, hotels, motels, lodging houses, and apartment
houses for compliance with building standards, as provided and
C. WHEREAS, California Health and Safety Code Section 13146.4 requires all fire
departments, including the City of Temecula Fire Department, that provide fire
protection services to report annually to its administering authority on its
compliance with sections 13146.2 and 13146.3 and,
D. WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Temecula intends this Resolution to fulfill
the requirements of the California Health & Safety Code regarding
acknowledgment of the City of Temecula Fire Department's compliance with
California Health and Safety Code Sections 13146.4.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMECULA,
CALIFORNIA, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
The Council expressly acknowledges the receipt of the annual fire inspection report for
Fiscal Year 2021-2022, attached hereto as Exhibit "A".
PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Temecula
this 23"1 day of August, 2022.
