A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF TEMECULA, CALIFORNIA, DESIGNATING AND
AUTHORIZING CERTAIN CITY OFFICIALS TO
EXECUTE APPLICATIONS AND DOCUMENTS FOR THE
PURPOSES OF OBTAINING FEDERAL FINANCIAL
ASSISTANCE FOR ANY EXISTING OR FUTURE GRANT
PROGRAM INCLUDE, BUT NOT LIMITED TO
FEDERALLY DECLARED DISASTER (DR), FIRE
MITIGATION ASSISTANCE GRANT (FMAG),
CALIFORNIA STATE ONLY DISASTER (CDAA),
IMMEDIATE SERVICES PROGRAM (ISP), HAZARD
MITIGATION GRANT PROGRAM (HMGP), BUILDING
RESILIENT INFRASTRUCTURE AND COMMUNITIES
(BRIO), FLOOD MITIGATION ASSISTANCE PROGRAM
(FMA), AND NATIONAL EARTHQUAKE HAZARDS
REDUCTION PROGRAM (NEHRP)
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Temecula heretofore adopted Resolution No.
2022-94 designating and authorizing certain City officials to execute said applications and
documents; and
WHEREAS, the California Governor's Office of Emergency Services requires that the
Temecula City Council adopt Resolution No. 2022-94 in order to be eligible to apply for and
receive federal financial assistance provided by the Federal Emergency Management Agency and
sub -granted through the California Governor's Office of Emergency Services (CaIOES).
WHEREAS, the City of Temecula desires to make this a universal resolution and is
effective for all open and future disasters/grants declared up to three (3) years following the date
of approval.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMECULA,
CALIFORNIA, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the City Manager, or his/her designee, are hereby authorized to execute
and submit for and on behalf of the City of Temecula, a local government established under the
laws of the State of California, applications, and other related documents, including agreements
amendments, extensions, and grant award documents, for the purpose of obtaining federal financial
assistance provided by the Federal Emergency Management Agency and sub -granted through the
California Governor's Office of Emergency Services (CalOES).
Section 2. That this authorization shall be in effect for a period of three (3) years from
the date of approval.
PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Temecula
this 13"' day of December, 2022.
