A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF TEMECULA SUPPORTING PROPOSITION 36 - THE
HOMELESSNESS, DRUG ADDICTION, AND THEFT
REDUCTION ACT (INITIATIVE NO.23-0017A1)
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMECULA DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS
FOLLOWS:
Section 1. On July 9, 2024, the City Council of the City of Temecula unanimously
supported the placement of a resolution supporting Proposition 36 on the agenda at the request of
Council Member Alexander.
Section 2. On July 11, 2024,the Board of Directors of the League of California Cities
also supported Proposition 36 and numerous cities,counties and other organizations are also in the
process of doing the same.
Section 3. The City Council of the City of Temecula hereby supports Proposition 36 -
The Homelessness, Drug Addiction, and Theft Reduction Act(Initiative No. 23-0017A1).
Section 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this resolution.
PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Temecula
this 23w1 day of July, 2024.
