Hello, Please see my attached comments for tonight. I planned on attending and speaking in person, but
have come down ill this afternoon.
It is my hope they can be shared in writing to the Commission if they are unable to be read.
Thank you,
Jeff Kingsberg

Good evening,
I am Jeff Kingsberg, a 37-year resident of Temecula
and am in my second year of serving on the
Community Services Commission and am the 2024
Commission Chair.
- I'd like to rewind back to last month in September.
- I viewed your last meeting, which was a Joint
Workshop with the City Council last month, held
on September 5th.
- Your focus that night was to Identify and Analyze
Barriers and Gaps and Make Recommendations
related to Affordable Housing in Uptown
Temecula, especially for young people.
- I was so impressed by the preparation and
research of your commission members and the
expertise you all brought from your various
professional backgrounds such as Military,
Education, Real Estate, Public Utilities, Business,
and serving for Non-Profits.
- The Distributive Commission Leadership of Chair
Faulkner was evident as you all equally
contributed to the discussion.
- As a fellow City Commissioner, I was inspired to
see you working effectively side by side with the
City Council. This type of format ELEVATES our
City Commissions, which often do their work
quietly behind the scenes. I believe such efforts
make us stronger as a City Government and help
us begin to address complex and difficult issues
such as Affordable Housing.
- In closing, I wanted to come by tonight to
acknowledge your work not only that night, but
your ongoing efforts. I recall a few years back
when some were skeptical, perhaps even hostile
toward the formation of the Race, Equity, Diversity,
and Inclusion Commission. Your Commitment
and Persistence are assets, but most importantly
your positive Decorum and Actions have proven
the REDI Commission to be a valuable addition to
our government structure.
- Thank you and keep up the good work!
