The recommendations herein should be incorporated into the earthwork construction at the subject site. All recommendations in the reference report remain applicable, unless superseeded below. Slope Stability A review of the proposed grading plan indicates that slopes will be constructed at a variable slope ratio from a 3:1 to a 10:1 (H:V). Fill slope height will be less than 5 feet. Proposed slopes are considered to be grossly stable and should be suitable for its intended use when constructed using select fill material and under the soil engineer's supervision and testing. Slope Kevwav and Benchinq Construction of fill slope will require keyway and benching into competent material before fill placement. Depth to competent soils is estimated to be 4 to 5 feet below grade, therefore keyway dimension should be at least 5 feet in depth and of equipment width, 10 feet typically. Actual keyway sizes are to be determined in the field during field excavation inspections by the consulting geologist and/or engineer. \ 31606 Railroad Canyon Road, #201 . Canyon Lake, CA 92587 . The benches are cut vertical and limited to 4 feet or less in height. Field conditions (exposed cuts) will dictate the location and allowable height of benches. Inspection of benching during the grading operation is required to verify that the contact between fill and native is satisfactory for its intended purpose. We sincerely appreciate this opportunity to be of continued service on this project. If you have any other questions, please do hestita to contact the undersigned at your convenience.
