Gentlemen:
According to your request and signed authorization, Soil Tech, Inc. has performed field
observations and in-place density testing during the post grading operations for the referenced
site. Submitted, herein, are the results of the findings and the supporting field and laboratory
data.
1.0 PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The subject site is to be developed with the construction of two (2) single story, slab-on-
grade medical office buildings and accompanying asphaltic concrete driveway and
parking areas with concrete curbs and gutters. Each building will have two (2) units.
Each unit will range from 2,008 to 2,870 square feet in size. Unit No. 4 will contain a
"Linear Accelerator Room", which will be constructed of reinforced concrete walls, floor,
and ceiling. The walls, ceiling, and floor will be 2.0 to 4.5 feet, 2.0 to 4.0 feet, and 2.0 feet
in thickness, respectively. The remainder of the structures will be constructed of wood
frame and stucco.
2.0 SITE DESCRIPTION
2.1 Location: The subject property comprises approximately 1.02 acres and is located on
the northwest side of Winchester Road and approximately 240 feet northeast of the
centerline of Ynez Road in the City of Temecula, Riverside County, California. The subject
site is bounded on the northwest side by the Santa Gertrudis Creek Channel.
2.2 Topoaraphv and Surface Conditions: Prior to the time of the post grading, the site
consisted of a previously rough graded building pad area for associated parking lot area

for two (2) proposed single story, slab-on-grade medical office buildings and associated
parking lot area; asphaltic concrete driveway and parking areas with concrete curbs and
gutters are presented in Reference NO.2 Geotechnical Report of Rough Grading.
SCOPE OF WORK
Time of Post Gradina: Post grading operations were conducted from September 21,
1993, through March 14, 1994.
Contractor and Eauipment: The post grading operations for the preparation of the
subgrade soils and the placement of aggregate base material for the proposed asphaltic
concrete driveway and parking areas and associated concrete sidewalks curbs and
gutters were performed by Edmondson Construction. One (1) Ingersul Rand DD-35
vibratory roller, one (1) Ford 545 skiploader, and a water truck were used during the
grading process.
Post Gradina Operations: The post grading consisted of footing and foundation
observations performed on September 22, 1993, for the proposed Linear Accelerator
Room located within Unit No.4; interior and exterior footing observations were performed
on November 10, 1993, for all the remaining foundations for the proposed building units.
Compaction testing was performed for the subgrade and aggregate base grade sections
for the proposed concrete sidewalk, curb and gutters areas, and asphaltic concrete
parking lot and driveway areas. The sidewalk, curb, gutter, and pavement areas were
generally graded to the elevations noted on the Grading Plan. However, the actual
locations, dimensions, elevations, etc., were determined by others and should be verified
by the project Civil Engineer. During the construction of the "Linear Accelerator Room",
tests were performed on the Portland Cement Concrete used,

4.0 TESTING
4.1 Field TestinQ:
4.1.1 Soil and AQQreQate Base Material: Field in-place density and moisture content testing
were performed during the preparation of subgrades and the placement of the aggregate
base materials in general accordance with ASTM D2922-81 (90) and ASTM D3017-88
procedures for determining in-place density and moisture content respectively, using
nuclear equipment. The test results are presented in Appendix I. Exhibit I. Detailed
information regarding in-place density test locations are presented on the Post Grading
Report Site Plan presented in Appendix III.
4.1.2 Concrete: The concrete used in the construction of the "Linear Accelerator Room" was
sampled from the delivery trucks in general accordance with ASTM C172 procedures.
Slump tests were performed on concrete sampled from the trucks in general accordance
with ASTM C143 procedures. Specimens for strength tests were made from the concrete
supplied to the project in general accordance with ASTM C31 procedures. The field test
results are presented in Exhibit II In Appendix I.
4.2 Laboratorv TestinQ: The following laboratory tests were performed as part of our
services during the post grading of the subject site.
4.2.1 Soil and AQQreQate Base Material: Maximum dry density - optimum moisture content
relationship tests were conducted on samples of the materials used for subgrade and
aggregate base for proposed parking lot and driveway areas and their associated curb
I gutter and sidewalk areas. The tests were performed in general accordance with ASTM
D1557-78(90) procedures. The test results are presented in Appendix II, Exhibit III.
4.2.2 Concrete: Strength tests were performed on specimens of hardened concrete used in
the construction of the "Linear Accelerator Room" in general accordance with ASTM C39

procedures. The specimens were made and stored in general accordance with ASTM
C31 procedures. The compressive strength test results are presented in Exhibit IV in
Appendix II.
EARTH MATERIALS
The natural earth materials encountered on the site at subgrade elevations generally
consisted of a brown silty sand. Import material consisted of a Class 2 Aggregate Base
material.
CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS
Based on the observations and tests performed during post grading, the subject site in
the areas noted has been completed in accordance with the project plans and
specifications, the Grading Code of the City of Temecula, and the Reference NO.2
Geotechnical Report.

above. It mayor may not contain sufficient information for other parties or purposes. The
findings and recommendations expressed in this report are based on field and laboratory
testing performed during the post grading operation and on generally accepted
engineering practices and principles. No further warranties are implied or expressed
