The tests were performed in general accordance with ASTM D1557- 78 procedures. The results are presented in the Appendix of this report. Relative compaction testing was performed in general accordance with ASTM D-1556-79 ASTM D2992-81, and ASTM D3017 procedures for determining in-place density and moisture content, respectively, using sand cone test and nuclear density gauge equipment. Test results are presented in the Appendix and the approximate test locations are shown on the site plan, also presented in the Appendix of this report. In-place density test results indicate a minimum of 90 percent relative compaction for subgrade in parking lot and trench backfill areas of the site, and 95 percent relative compaction in the aggregate base. The native soils encountered on the site consisted of silty sand with varying amounts of clay. Import earth materials consisted of aggregate base. Based on the observations and tests performed in the areas noted as test locations, the post grading operation has been completed in accordance with the Referenced No. 2 and 5 reports and the grading code of the City of Temecula, California. The intent of this report is to certify Area Number 1 (Ralphs Center). The test results presented herein include area numbers 2 and 3. However, at the time of this writing further testing remains to be performed prior to certifying area number 2 adjacent to Shopping Building Number 2 and Chief Auto Parts. Therefore, a final "all inclusive" post grading report will be forthcoming for Area Numbers 1, 2 and 3. The report will show in-place density test results and their locations.
