The proposed open channel through Lot 47, Tr 3752, the "Santoro" lot, has been revised. The purpose of this supplement is to update the hydrology and hydraulics. REFERENCE The Drainage Report, Hydrology and Hydraulics Study of Storm Drain Through Rancho Community Church Campus and Bridgeport Development To Hwy 79 South & Jedediah Smith Road dated July 23, 2004 by Norris, "the main report." DESCRIPTION OF THE WATERSHED It was found that in the main report, 0.75 acre of the Santoro lot was tabled into both the main channel and the Line A channel. Therefore that area was deleted from the Line A hydrology in the present study. METHODOLOGY The hydrology analysis was performed based on the Rational Method of the current 1978 RCFCD Hydrology Manual, using Civildesign Rational Hydrology software, version 3.2. It was also run using the RMH computer program, version 7.0d, developed by the writer. Both are included in this report. The agreement is very close (Civildesign ranged from -0.5% to +1.2% ofRMH Qs,) Hydraulics analysis was performed using L. A. County's WSPG ver. 4.0 distributed by Civildesign. The main channel hydraulics was run at its Te, i.e., with its peak Q and adjusted Q in Line A. The resulting water surface, without reduction for offset peak times, was taken as control for Line A, and Line A was run at its peak Q, a conservative approach. The effect of the baffle at 13+50, which consists of three 16" wide by 16" high blocks, was simulated by modeling it as three I-ft, wide bridge piers. CONCLUSIONS Maximum velocity in the earth channel is 6.0 fps except for the last (most downstream) 35:!: feet where it increases to 7.6, still below the Caltrans threshold for riprap of9 fps. It is recognized that any erosion could not degrade the tributary channel bed below the level of the existing riprap in the main channel. Therefore no riprap is proposed in this last 35' section. The minimum freeboard is I foot; however that requires a fill at the top of the south slope of up to 0.3 foot deep, 30 feet long from 12+05 to 12+35.
