Waterline Trench Backfill . Dry Utility Trench Backfill . Sidewalk Subgrade . Driveway Approach Subgrade . Curb and Gutter . Driveway Approach Aggregate Base . Front Street and Western Bypass . Front Street and Western Bypass Subgrade Aggregate Base Maximum dry density/optimum moisture content tests were conducted on samples of the native earth materials and imported aggregate base. The tests were performed in general accordance with ASTM D 1557-91 (1998) procedures. The results are presented in the Appendix of this ,report. Relative compaction testing was performed in general accordance with ASTM D 2922-96 and ASTM D 3017-96 procedures for determining in-place density and moisture content, respectively, using nuclear density gauge equipment. Test results are presented in the Appendix and the approximate test locations are shown on the site plan, also presented in the Appendix of this report. In-place density test results indicate a minimum of 90 percent relative compaction for the Sidewalk subgrade, the curb and gutter subgrade and trench backfill areas of the site, and 95 percent relative compaction for the driveway approach subgrade, Front Street and Western Bypass subgrade, and in the aggregate base. The native soils encountered on the site consisted of brown silty sand as well as dark brown sandy silt. Import earth materials consisted of gray sandy gravel aggregate base. Based on the observations and tests performed in the areas noted as test locations, the post grading operation has been completed in accordance with the Referenced NO.1 Report and the grading code of the City of Temecula, California.
