AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TEMECULA, AMENDING SECTION 12.02.010(d) OF THE TEMECULA
MUNICIPAL CODE TO ESTABLISH SPEED LIMITS ON CALLE PINA
COLADA AND RORIPAUGH ROAD AND DECLARING THE URGENCY
THEREOF
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMECULA DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Section 12.02.010(d) of the Temecula Municipal Code is amended to add the
following speed limits:

Section 2. This Ordinance is hereby declared to be an urgency ordinance and shall take
effect immediately upon its adoption. The facts constituting the basis of the urgency are that both
streets cross through residential tracts in which there are currently no designated speed limits.
Protection of the health and safety of the residents and their young children dictates establishing
a reasonable speed limit.
Section 3. The speed limits established by this Ordinance are in addition to those
established pursuant to Ordinance No. 91-22. Neither this Ordinance or Ordinance No. 91-22
should be construed as repealing the other in whole or part.

Section 4. Severability. The City Council hereby declares that the provisions of this
Ordinance are severable and if for any reason a court of competent jurisdiction shall hold any
sentence, paragraph, or section of this Ordinance to be invalid, such decision shall not affect the
validity of the remaining parts of this Ordinance
Section 5. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Ordinance and shall cause
the same to be posted as required by law.
