Dear Ms. Safe:
In accordance with your re,quest, we have prepared this report for the subject property. The report
represents the history of the grading performed on the subject property as follows:
1. The existing resideliltial grading pad was constructed approximately ten to twelve years ago.
2. There were two cOlTlpaction testing performed on the finished pad. The results are found at
the end of this report.
3. After evaluatil)g the: existing residential pad and testing for the compaction, our opinion is that
the pad is suitable for its intended usage.
The included findings and Irecommendations have been derived in accordance with generally
accepted professional prin, ciples and practices in the fields of soil mechanics and foundation
epgineering. This warranty is in lieu of all other warranties, either expressed or implied.

INTRODUCTION
In accordance with your r~quest, tests have been performed on the previously graded residential
pad.
PRO.!lECT DESCRIPTION
The site will have a one story single family residence with attached garage constructed on it with
associated landscaping and access drive. This structure consists of a one story, wood framed
residence founded on a cqntinuous perimeter footings foundation system.
FIELD DENSITY TESTING
Field :density testing was performed in accordance with ASTM D1556-64 (Sand Cone Method) or D-
2937~71 (Drive Cylinder) test method, respectively. The results of the field density tests are
presented in Table I of this report. The approximate location of the tests are shown on the Plot
Plan, Plate 1.
MAXIMUM DENSITY DETERMINATIONS
Maximum density/optimum moisture determinations were made from representative samples of on-
site soils used in the fill operations. The tests were performed in accordance with ASTM D1557-78
Method.
LIMITATIONS
The findings and recommendations of this report were prepared in accordance with contemporary
principles and practices in Ithe field of geotechnical engineering. No other warranty or guarantee is
eithe~ expressed or implied. Only a portion of the subsurface soils and conditions were evaluated
or observed and the conclusions are based upon an interpretation of the soil conditions
encol!Jntered in the field tests. Conclusions are also based on the assumption that these findings do
not vary appreciably in theladjacent areas. However, minor variations may occur: should soil
conditions significant,ly different be encountered in the future, an assessment of the impact on
sl!Jbsequent recommendations should be made.
~
C,ONClLUSION
The observations and testl results indicated that the grading was performed satisfactorily for its
intended usage. No conclusions or warranties are made for areas not tested or observed.
