In accordance with your request arid signed authorization, EnGEN Corporation has performed
field observations, sampling, and in-place density testing on an on-call basis at the above
referenced site from January 25, 2006 through July 25, 2006.
The following testing was performed during post grading operations:
. Driveway Subgrade
. Driveway Approach Subgrade
. Driveway Aggregate Base
. 'Gutter Subgrade
Maximum dry density/optimum moisture content tests were conducted on samples of the native
materials and imported aggregate base. The tests were performed in general accordance with
ASTM D 1557-02 procedures. The results are presented in the Appendix of this report.
Relative compaction testing was performed. in general accordance with procedures. for
determining in-place density and moisture content; respectively, using nuclear density gauge

.equipment. Test results are presented in the Appendix and the approximate test locations are
:shown on the site plan, also presented in the Appendix of this report.
In-place density test results indicate a minimum of 90 percent relative compaction for the
.driveway subgrade and the curb and gutter subgrade areas of the site, and 95 percent relative
compaction for the approach subgrade and in the aggregate base. The native soils
encountered on the site consisted of Light Brown Silty Sand. Import earth materials consisted
:of Brown aggregate base.
Based on the observations and tests performed in the areas noted as test locations, the post
,grading operation has been completed in accordance with the grading code of the City of
Temecula.
