Dear Mr. Plunkett:
In accordance with your request, we have prepared this addendum to our "Recertification of Finish
Pad & Limited Geotechnical Investigation" (see references) for the proposed single-family
residence located in the city of Temecula, California. The purpose of our investigation was to
evaluate the stability of the previously graded cut and fill slopes.
Based on our site reconnaissance and previous subsurface investigation of the subject site, we
anticipate that the existing cut and fill slopes constructed at a 2: 1 (horizontal:vertical) slope ratio to
maximum heights of approximately 25 and 30-ft, respectively, are surficially and grossly stable.
Minor erosion rills were observed within the fill slopes. These areas should be scarified a
rninimum of 1-ft below the ground surface, moisture conditioned to near optimum moisture, and
recompacted to 90 percent of the maximum density as determined by ASTM D-1557. Proper
seeding and planting of the slopes should follow as soon as practical to inhibit erosion and
deterioration of the slope surfaces. Proper moisture control will enhance the long-term stability of
the finish slope surface.
Our investigation was performed using the degree of care and skill ordinarily exercised, under
similar circumstances, by reputable Engineers and Geologists practicing in this or similar localities.
No other warranty, expressed or implied, is made as to the conclusions and professional advice
included in this report.
TIris report is issued with the understanding that it is the responsibility of the owner, or his
representative, to ensure that the information and recommendations contained herein are brought to
the attention of the architect and engineer for the project and incorporated into the plans, and the
necessary steps are taken to see that the contractor and subcontractors carry out such
recommendations in the field.

The findings of this report are valid as of the report date. However, changes in the conditions of
