HomeMy WebLinkAbout051508 DH MinutesMINUTES OF A REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY OF TEMECULA DIRECTOR'S HEARING MAY 15, 2008 A regular meeting of the City of Temecula Director's Hearing was called to order on Thursday, May 15, 2008 at 1:32 p.m. in the Main Conference Room, located at 43200 Business Park Drive, Temecula, Califomia. Planning Director Debbie Ubnoske presiding Also present were, Senior Planner Stuart Fisk, Associate Planner Dana Schuma, and Minute Clerk Cynthia Lariccia. Item No. 1: building, located at 41911 C Street Director opened the public hearing at 1:33 p.m Assistant Planner presented an overview of the project and staff recommendations. The subject property is a 5.5 acre public cemetery located at the end of C Street adjacent to the St. Catherine's Catholic Church on Santiago Road. The project proposes to demolish the existing building and replace it with a new modular building. The new building will provide for new restrooms and additional space for the cemetery administration. The project is in conformance with the standards for office building development within the Public Institutional zone. The modular office will be approved for a temporary period of five years per the Development Code and the applicant may apply for afive-year extension. In accordance with the California Environmental Quality Act, the project has been deemed categorically exempt from further environmental review per Section 15302, Class 2 Replacement or Reconstruction. Planning Director opened the public hearing and asked if the applicant had any questions. Applicant Cindi Beaudet, 41922 C Street, Temecula, asked if the required handicap parking signage would have to be addressed within 48 hours of approval as stated in the Conditions of Approval. Planner stated that the only two things required within 48 hours is a signature accepting the Conditions of Approval and the $64 check to file the Notice of Exemption. Planner stated the .other conditions are done on a milestone basis and the applicant has two years to fulfill those. No other persons were in attendance to speak in opposition or support of the project. Planner Director closed the public hearing and approved Planning Application No. PA07-0328 subject to the Conditions of Approval.
