Maximum dry density/optimum moisture content tests were conducted on samples of ' the native and import earth materials and imported aggregate base. The tests were ' performed in general accordance with ASTM D1557-78 procedures. The results are presented in the Appendix of this report. Relative compaction testing was performed in ' general accordance with ASTM D2992-81 and D3017 procedures for determining in- ' place density and moisture content, respectively, using nuclear density gauge equipment. Test results are presented in the Appendix and the approximate test ' locations are shown on the site plan, also presented in the Appendix of this report. ' In-place density test results indicate a minimum of 90 percent relative compaction in the ' fill placed in the building pad, for subgrade in parking lot and trench backfill areas of the ' site, and 95 percent relative compaction in footing overexcavation areas in the northern and eastern portions of the building pad, and the aggregate base. The native soils ' EnGEN Corpontion Z Westside 178 LP Project No: T1352-C Odober 1998 Page 3 encountered on the site consisted of silty fine sand. import earth materials consisted of silty sand and aggregate base. Based on the observations and tests performed in the areas noted as test locations, the post grading operation has been completed in accordance with the referenced Updated Geotechnical Study and the grading code of the City of Temecula, California.
