HomeMy WebLinkAbout091108 DH MinutesMINUTES OF A REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY OF TEMECULA DIRECTOR'S HEARING SEPTEMBER 11, 2008 A regular meeting of the City of Temecula Director's Hearing was called to order on Thursday, September 11, 2008 at 1:30 p.m. in the Main Conference Room, located at 43200 Business Park Drive, Temecula, California. Planning Director Debbie Ubnoske presiding. Also present were Associate Planner Dana Schuma and Minute Clerk Cynthia Lariccia. Item No. 1: Planning Application No. PA08-0150 a Minor Conditional Use Permit to operate a dog davcare facility within an existing 5 473 square foot industrial building located at 27629 Commerce Center Drive Planning Director opened the public hearing at 1:30 p.m. Associate Planner presented an overview of the project and staff recommendations. The proposed dog daycare facility, Dogtopia, will occupy a 5,475 square foot industrial building located on Commerce Center Drive. Staff has reviewed the proposal and found that the project, as designed and conditioned, will provide for adequate parking for staff and customers and adequate facilities to board no more than 73 dogs at any one time. The project is in conformance with the regulations to operate a kennel in the Light Industrial (LI) zone and staff did not find that the project would have any adverse affects on the surrounding tenants. In accordance with the California Environmental Quality Act, the proposed project has been deemed categorically exempt from further environmental review per Section 15301, Class 1 Existing Facilities. Planning Director asked the applicant's representative to state his name for the record and was he in agreement with the Conditions of Approval. Matthew Fagan, 42011 Avenida Vista Ladera, Temecula, stated that he and the applicant had reviewed the Findings and the Conditions of Approval and are in concurrence with them. He also thanked Associate Planner Schuma and other staff who assisted his applicant in the process. Patrick Moody, 27002 Red Maple Street, Murrieta, applicant, also liked to thank staff for their assistance. No other persons were in attendance to speak in opposition or support of the project. Planning Director closed the public hearing and approved Planning Application No. PA08-0150 subject to the Conditions of Approval.
