13. ALL SLOPES SHALL BE ROUNDED INTO EXISTING TERRAIN TO PRODUCE A CONTOURED TRANSITION FROM CUT OR FILL TO THE NATURAL
GROUND ABUTTING THE SLOPE.
14. THE FACES OF CUT AND/OR FILL SLOPES SHALL BE PREPARED AND MAINTAINED TO PREVENT EROSION.
15. ALL SLOPES STEEPER THAN 4:1 HORIZONTAL TO VERTICAL SHALL BE HYDRO -SEEDED WITH AN EROSION CONTROL MIXTURE SUBJECT TO
THE APPROVAL OF THE ENGINEER (UNLESS SUPERSEDED BY AN APPROVED EROSION CONTROL, LANDSCAPING, OR MI T I GA T ION PLAN).
PRIOR TO INSTALLATION. ALL CUT SLOPES SHALL BE SCARIFIED OR RIPPED HORIZONTALLY TO A DEPTH OF THREE TO SIX INCHES.

ADDI77ONAL SOIL TESTS SHALL BE TAKEN AFTER ROUGH GRADING TO DETERMINE

BE SUBJECT TO APPROVAL OF THE CITY ENGINEER.
4. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL APPLY TO THE C.I.P. DIVISION FOR AN ENCROA CHMEN T

OR PROCEEDED BY COMPACTION TESTING.
9. THREE (3) PAVING INSPECTIONS ARE REQUIRED BY THE C.I.P. INSPECTOR, THE FIRST
(1ST) AT SUB -GRADE COMPLETION, SECOND (2ND) AT THE BASE GRADE
COMPLETION, AND THIRD (3RD) DURING PLACEMENT OF ASPHALT PAVING.
10. COMPACTION REPORT BY A SOILS ENGINEER SHALL CERTIFY NINETY PERCENT (90%)
COMPACTION OF SUB --GRADE PRIOR TO REQUEST FOR SECOND (2ND) INSPECTION
AND PLACEMENT OF BASE MATERIAL.
