COMMITTEE BUSINESS
1. Discussion to allocate additional Community Development Block Grant funding
for Fiscal Year 2013-14.
RECOMMENDATION
- Allocate 20% (or $27,350) of the additional $136,749 CDBG allotment
towards Administration.
- Allocate an additional $14,266 towards Public Service Organization funding,
so as not to exceed a 25°/a increase in the overall funding level for this
program. The additional funding is to be spread evenly to each organization
receiving funding under the program for Fiscal Year 2013-14.
- Allocate the remaining $95,133 to the Temecula Community Center (TCC)
Rehabilitation project.

2. Corporate Sponsorship Program
RECOMMENDATION: Reviewed steps taken to establish a Corporate
Sponsorship Program which included collaborating with businesses to allow
those businesses to support services offered to the community. Discussed the
proposed restrictions on sponsors, recognition of sponsors, levels of support and
corporate sponsorship opportunities available to the City. The committee
recommended the item be forwarded to the Council for consideration.
3. Local Vendor Preference Program
RECOMMENDATION
The committee discussed the results of an economic benefit analysis conducted
by Keyser Marston Associates (KMA) associated with City purchases made
locally within Temecula. Paul Marra from KMA presented the study's findings.
Discussions were postponed to a subsequent Finance Committee meeting due to
time constraints.
