CALL TO ORDER: Flag Salute ROLL CALL: Chairperson Kirby Brode, Harker, Hillin, Kirby, Nimeshein PUBLIC COMMENTS A total of 15 minutes is provided so members of the public can address the Commissioners on items that are not listed on the Agenda. Speakers are limited to three (3) minutes each. If you desire to speak to the Commissioners about an item not listed on the Agenda, a green "Request to Speak" form should be filled out and filed with the Commission Secretary. When you are called to speak, please come forward and state your name and address. For all other agenda items, a "Request to Speak" form must be filed with the Parks and Recreation Secretary before the item is addressed by the Commission. ADl~roval of Minutes - January 14, 1991 RECOMMENDATION: 1.1 Approve minutes of January 14, 1991 Parks and Recreation Commission meeting as submitted. 2. Budget Prel~aration - FY 1991-92 DISCUSSION: 2. 1 Discussion concerning the TCSD Operating Budget for FY 1991-92. 3. Sl~orts Park Conceptual Master Plan DISCUSSION: 3. 1 Review the rough draft of the Conceptual Master Plan of Sports Park. 4. Sl~ecial Event - Twenty-First Annual Father's Day Car Show RECOMMENDATION: 4. 1 Approve the 21st Annual Father's Day Car Show on June 16, 1991 in Sports Park. PR/AGENDA/012891 2 01/22/91 ITEM NO. 1 ITEM NO. 2 TEMECULA COMMUNITY SERVICES DISTRICT AGENDA REPORT TO: PARKS AND RECREATION COMMISSION FROM: SHAWN D. NELSON, DIRECTOR DATE: JANUARY 28, 1991 SUBJECT.' BUDGET PREPARATION - FY 1991-92 DISCUSSION: Budget preparation for the upcoming fiscal year will begin within the next thirty (30) days. It is imperative that the Commission be in- volved in the budget process to enhance the effectiveness of the final budget document. The capital outlay section of the TCSD operating budget is reserved for capital park and facility developments. It is requested that the Commission consider possible projects to be included in the FY 1991-92 budget. The budget will be approved by the Commission before final approval by the Board of Directors (City Council). Please contact me if you have any suggestions for budget inclusion. NELSON, DIRECTOR DATE: JANUARY 28, 1991 SUBJECT.' SPORTS PARK CONCEPTUAL MASTER PLAN DISCUSSION: Cardoza, DiLallo, and Harrington was hired by the TCSD to develop a conceptual master plan of Sports Park. A rough drawing has been submitted to the TCSD for review and possible revision. This rough draft will be presented to the Commission for input. Once the drawing has been reviewed by the Commission and the Board of Directors, the final rendering will be prepared by the consultant. ITEM NO. 4 TEMECUI. NELSON, DIRECTOR JANUARY 28, 1990 SPECIAL EVENT - 21ST ANNUAL FATHERS DAY CAR SHOW RECOMMENDATION: Approve the 21st Annual Fathers Day Car Show on June 16, 1991 in Sports Park. DISCUSSION: The Temecula Valley Car Club Region of the Contemporary Historical VehicLe Association (CHVA) has requested to use Sports Park for the 21st CVHA Annual Fathers Day Car Show. The show is proposed for Sunday, June 16, 1991 from 6:00am to 4:30pro. Approximately 200-225 collector cars will be involved with 1600-2000 participants and spectators. This request has been coordinated with Little League and does not conflict with their schedule. A presentation will be made by a representative of the CHVA.
