PROJECT SUMMARY
The Sims property is located at 29370 Vallejo Avenue in the City of Temecula.The overall site area is
3.0 acres but only 0.85 acres are proposed to be disturbed for the project. The owner is proposing to
construct a main house, secondary dwelling, and shop on the property.
PURPOSE
The purpose of this study is to analyze the 100 year storm flow within the tributary area of the proposed
area drain. The hydraulics of the proposed 4"" pvc area drain will also by analyzed.
METHODOLOGY
Storm flows were calculated by using the Rational Hydrograph method described in the Riverside County
Flood Control Hydrology Manual. The 100 year storm event is computed to determine the peak Q into
the proposed area drain system.
ASSUMPTIONS
Storm Event: 100 yeaz
Soil Type: B
Impervious Fraction: 40%
SUMMARY
The resulting 100 year Rational Method flow for Area A is 0.06 CFS.
