~erman D. Parker, Director of Community Services
DATE: June 7, 1999
SUBJECT:
Capital Improvement Program Projects for Fiscal Year 1999-2000
PREPARED BY: (~Todd Holmes, Development Services Administrator
RECOMMENDATION:That the Community Services Commission approve the Capital
Improvement Program Projects for Fiscal Year 1999-2000.
DISCUSSION: On an annual basis, the Community Services Commission reviews
potential capital improvement program (CIP) projects for the upcoming fiscal year to determine
priorities for park and recreation facility development and improvement projects. The attached
list of capital projects is broken down into four categories; completed projects, projects under
construction, projects in design, and proposed projects for the upcoming year.
Staff is recommending that nine (9) proposed projects be approved by the Commission for
inclusion in the CIP for FY 1999-2000. These projects were selected based on their priority in
the City's five-year Capital Improvement Program as well as other considerations such as
availability of funding and community need. With the Commission's approval, the proposed CIP
