A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TEMECULA APPROVING THE DISADVANTAGED BUSINESS
ENTERPRISE (DBE) PROGRAM EFFECTIVE OCTOBER 1, 2000
TO COMPLY WITH ALL THE ELEMENTS OF TITLE 49, PART 26
OF THE CODE OF FEDERAL REGULATIONS (CFR) ENTITLED
"PARTICIPATION BY DISADVANTAGED BUSINESS
ENTERPRISES IN DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION
FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE PROGRAMS", AND DESIGNATING THE
DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC WORKS/CITY ENGINEER AS THE DBE
LIAISON OFFICER AND AUTHORIZING THE DBE LIAISON
OFFICER TO CONDUCT A REVIEW OF THE ANNUAL OVERALL
GOAL PERCENTAGE AND ADJUST SUCH PERCENTAGE EACH
FEDERAL FISCAL YEAR AS NECESSARY ACCORDING TO THE
REQUIREMENTS OF THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF
TRANSPORTATION TO ENSURE COMPLIANCE IN THE
DEVELOPMENT, IMPLEMENTING AND MONITORING OF THE
DBE PROGRAM.
The City Council of the City of Temecula does resolve, determine and order as follows:
WHEREAS, before the U.S. Department of Transportation will further obligate federal funds
for federal-aid transportation programs the CITY OF TEMECULA is required to adopt a new
Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Program and the CITY OF TEMECULA will designate a
DBE Liaison Officer to monitor such program.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Temecula, as
follows:
Section 1. That the City Council hereby approves the Disadvantaged Business Enterprise
(DBE) Program, effective October 1, 2000.
Section 2. The Director of Public Works/City Engineer is hereby designated as the DBE
Liaison Officer.
Section 3. The Director of Public Works/City Engineer is hereby authorized to review the
annual overall goal percentage and adjust such percentage each fiscal year as necessary according
to the requirements of the U.S. Department of Transportation.
