PLANNING DIRECTOR
DECEMBER 3, 1998
A regular meeting of the City of Temecula Planning Director was called to order on Thursday,
December 3, 1998 at 4:00 PM, at the City of Temecula Main Conference Room, 43200 Business
Park Drive, Temecula, California. Senior Planner Matthew Fagan presiding.
Also present were Project Planner Patty Anders, Senior Engineer Jerry Alegria and Minute Clerk
Cathy Davis.
Planning Application No. PA97-0370 (Minor Conditional Use Permit) and No. PA98-0408
(Tentative Parcel Map)
Assistant Planner Patty Anders presented the staff report to construct and operate a
commercial fueling station and a three (3) lot tentative parcel map for a parcel containing
5.13 gross acres located on the north west corner of Rancho Way and Diaz Road, also
know as APN 921-040-004.
Senior Planner Matthew Fagan opened the public hearing at 1:41 PM >
Richard Alvarez, 27999 Front Street, Temecula, CA 92590 spoke in opposition to the
project due to concerns why this project was granted access to Diaz Road. Senior
Engineer Jerry Alegria stated that the access was approved over a year ago.
Applicant Mike Downs, Downs Oil, 1296 Magnolia Avenue, Corona, California
concurred with the Conditions of Approval.
Senior Planner Matthew Fagan closed the public hearing at 1:46 PM.
Senior Planner Matthew Fagan adopted the Mitigated Negative Declaration for Planning
Application PA97-0370 (Minor Conditional Use Permit) and Planning Application PA98-
0408 (Tentative Parcel Map) and approved the project subject to the Findings and
Conditions of Approval.
The meeting was adjourned at 1:47 P.M.
