HomeMy WebLinkAbout122701 DH MinutesMINUTES OF A REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY OF TEMECULA DIRECTOR OF PLANNING December 27, 2001 A regular meeting of the City of Temecula Director of Planning was called to order on Wednesday, December 27, 2001 at 1:30 PM, at the City of Temecula Main Conference Room, 43200 Business Park Drive, Temecula, California. Senior Planner, Don Hazen presiding. Also present was Senior Engineer, Jerry Alegria, Project Planner, Rick Rush and Minute Clerk, Valerie Wimberly. Senior Planner, Don Hazen called the meeting to order at 1:30 PM. Item No. 1: Planninq Application No. PA01-0536 (Development Plan) Request to desiqn and construct a 2,258 square foot buildina in which Mission Produce will operate an avocado packinq house Project Planner, Rick Rush presented the staff report. Don Hazen opened the public hearing at 1:35 PM. Mr. Walt Alien, Applicant's Representative, Davidson and Alien Architects, Temecula, CA agreed with the Conditions of Approval. Mr. Albert Munoz, Mission Produce, 28071 Diaz Road, Temecula, CA, Applicant, wished to thank the City of Temecula and is looking forward to a summer grand opening. Senior Planner, Don Hazen closed the public hearing at 1:38 PM. Don Hazen stated that he concurs with staff and that the findings for approval can be met as well as the justification for a minor exception to the landscape requirements because the site is comprised of multiple parcels and the location of the new landscaping is on multiple parcels and is a benefit to the site irrespective of the percentage of landscaping on the subject lot. Senior Planner, Don Hazen approved the project stating that it is categorically exempt from CEQA, the findings can be made and the conditions of approval as drafted are acceptable. Item No. 2: Plannina Application No. PA01-0505 (Extension of Time) The fourth one year Extension of Time for Vestina Tentative Tract Map 25004. Project Planner Rick Rush presented the staff report. Don Hazen opened the public hearing at 1:40 PM. Mr. Yogesh Goradia, Applicant, 32063 Pacifica Dr., Rancho Palos Verdes, CA 90275 agreed with the Conditions of Approval. Senior Planner, Don Hazen closed the public hearing at 1:41 PM. Don Hazen stated that he concurs with staff recommendation for approval of the extension of time and no additional environmental review is necessary at this time.
