Old Business
Streetscape update: The major improvement work is on schedule and
should be completed on or about November 15, 1998. The Board
members requested a list of streetscape improvements be provided from
Public Works identifying all projects to be completed and progress reports
on each. Additionally, information was requested on the height of the
crossbar and sign over the two arch entries to Old Town.
Signage: Staff reported that Public Works had received complaints
regarding confusing signs in the Old Town construction area. It was
agreed that no changes were warranted due to the fact that Main Street
opened on November 5th.
New Business
Krieger's Store Color Changes (Otto and Nancy Baron, PA 97-0107): The
applicants proposed a change to the color palette for their building. They
would like to paint a portion of the structure avocado green. Several
samples were reviewed by the Board and found acceptable. However, it

was agreed that the best approach to obtaining the correct hue would be to
take a painted lumber sample from the original building and have it
matched by computer. Approved: 4-0 with the understanding that the
computer matched sample will be brought back to the Board for
evaluation. (Mighell moved, Blair seconded).

Staff Approvals
Musician's Workshop: Staff reported that they have not received a formal
application with color boards and elevations. Also, the temporary banner
presently on the building was not permitted. Marianne Salazar, City of
Temecula Code Enforcement Officer, advised that they are not actively
regulating illegal signs due to the construction in Old Town. However, if
a written complaint is received, a staff member will respond.
Helga Berger of the Chocolate Florist (Serendipity) requested approval of
a proposal to install brick pavers at the two driveway entrances of her
business. The Board agreed that the improvements were appropriate and
requested that the item be placed on the agenda for the next meeting.
Adjourn to December 14, 1998 meeting.
