CALL TO ORDER at 4:00 PM: Mayor Pro Tem James Stewart
ROLL CALL: Mayor Zak Schwank and Mayor Pro Tern James Stewart
PUBLIC COMMENTS - None
1. Temecula History Day Update — Staff provided an update on the City sponsored
Temecula History Day event which was formally known as Western Days.
2. Temecula Night Market Update — Staff provided an update on the Temecula Night
Market RFP. The bid was awarded to TNT Entertainment Group and the event will be
known as Temecula Sunset Markets.
3. CRC Splashpad and Sunshade Update — Staff shared a presentation on the CRC kiddie
pool that is being converted into a splashpad. Pending plan approval and the bid process,
construction is expected to begin in August.
4. Uptown Temecula Regional Sports Park (Murrieta Creek Detention Basin) — Staff
presented a concept drawing of the regional sports park and shared concerns of the
Riverside County Flood Control. Staff will continue to refine plans, find solutions for
Flood Control's concerns, and look for funding opportunities.
