Speakers are limited to three (3) minutes each. If you desire to speak to the Commissioners about an item not listed on the Agenda, a green "Request to Speak" form should be filled out and filed with the Commission Secretary. When you are called to speak, please come forward and state vour name and address. For all other agenda items, a"Request to Speak" form must be filed with the Community Services Commission Secretary before the item is addressed by the Commission. There is a three (3) minute time limit for individual speakers. NOTICE TO THE PUBLIC All matters listed under Consent Calendar are considered to be routine and all will be enacted by one roll call vote. ArtsConnection Proqram Overview RECOMMENDATION: 2.1 That the Community Services Commission receive and file this report recapping the ArtsConnection shows during previous seasons at the Old Town Temecula Community Theater and previewing the upcoming ArtsConnection 2010-2011 season. DIRECTOR'S REPORT COMMISSIONER'S REPORTS ADJOURNMENT The next meeting of the Community Services Commission will be adjourned to a regular meeting to be held on Wednesday, December 8, 2010 at 6:00 P.M., at Temecula City Hall Council Chambers, 43200 Business Park Drive, Temecula, CA. NOTICE TO THE PUBLIC The agenda packet (including staff reports) will be available for viewing at City Hall — 43200 Business Park Drive, Temecula, or the Temecula Library — 30600 Pauba Road, Temecula — during normal business hours. The packet will be available for viewing the Friday before the Community Services Commission meeting after 4:00 PM. Minutes - Approved staff recommendation —(5-0-0) — Commissioner Meyler made the motion; it was seconded by Commissioner Hogan and voice vote reflected unanimous approval. RECOMMENDATION: 1.1 Approve the Action Minutes of the September 13, 2010, Community Services Commission meeting. COMMISSION BUSINESS 2. Mavor's Summer Youth Emplovment Proqram Update — received and filed the report. RECOMMENDATION: 2.1 Receive and file this report regarding the 2010 City sponsored Mayor's Summer Youth Employment Program. Beers, Theater Manager RECOMMENDATION: That the Community Services Commission receive and file the report recappirig the ArtsConnection shows during previous seasons at the Old Town Temecula Community Theater and previewing the upcoming ArtsConnection 2010-2011 season. BACKGROUND: Begun in the 2008-2009 season, ArtsConnection is a creative community collaboration between the City of Temecula, the Theater Foundation and the Temecula Valley Unified School District designed to engage and educate youth through the performing arts at the Old Town Temecula Community Theater. The programs give students in grades K-12 the opportunity to experience and learn from the work of a variety�of perFormers representing a wide range of artistic disciplines and genres. ArtsConnection's goal is to foster intellectual, social, creative, and emotional growth for Temecula's adults of tomorrow.
